What is an infrared sauna and how can it benefit you?

Infrared saunas are clinically shown to help fight cancer, reduce blood pressure, relieve pain, reverse heart disease, promote weight loss, and give you a host of other health benefits.

Infrared saunas penetrate up to 1-1/2 inches below your skin to detoxify and revitalize your cells. This produces a deep, detoxifying sweat that eliminates toxins at the cellular level up to 70% more than a traditional sauna.

How to prepare for your session:

Make sure you’re hydrated! Drink lots of water prior to arriving and continue to drink water during and after your session.

Remove all jewelry, make-up and lotions prior to your session.

What to expect at your session:

Once you arrive a member of the Salt Dan staff will bring you to your own private room for your infrared sauna session.

The sauna will already be set for you when you arrive. You have the option of a 20-minute or 45-minute session. If you have never had a sauna session before we recommend starting with a 20-minute session.

You can undress to your comfort level. We do require undergarments during your session. We recommend wearing bathing suits or active wear during your session. The room is completely private and exclusive to you and your party. A maximum of three people can be in the sauna at a time and you will never be scheduled with strangers.

We will provide towels to cover the bench and floor where you will be sitting. As well as, extra towels for drying off and robes to wear during your session.

Before entering the sauna set your chromotherapy color (stay tuned for an article regarding chromotherapy colors). Next set the timer for your session!

You’re ready to get in now! You are welcome to bring a book or magazine, but we don’t recommend bringing electronics into the sauna. Please refrain from listening to music or podcasts so you don’t disrupt other services.

If at any point you are feeling too warm during your session you may open the sauna door

or step out of the sauna to cool down.

Once your timer goes off, get out and towel off! Get dressed and exit to the lobby area. A Salt Den staff member will clean the sauna after your visit. We highly recommend you cool off before exiting the building! We just request that you leave the sauna room and do so in the lobby area to keep schedules on time. During this time in the lobby grab some more water and relax!

Pricing for sauna sessions are determined by length of time and number of guests.
